Chanderpaul has been in the wars this tournament; first he gets a stomach upset and now he gets an injury.

Lara has just come to the crease (Bravo run out after Ntini had got out Sarwan LBW with a good one) and needs only one four to have hit 1000 of them in ODI cricket.

Need 32 from 72 balls. Might have been a good ending had the numbers been the other way round.

The WI have shown they are no one day flukes. Australia don't want to count their chickens.

Well played the West Indies! I hope they keep this form in the final.

From Australian perspective, they would have preferred to meet the West Indies in the final anyway.

West Indies are firing on all cylinders when it matters. They lost to Sri Lanka and England in meaningless games having already qualified and have blitzed everyone else away. The only team to give them a real game was Australia and Jerome Taylor saw them off in spectacular fashion.

I hope Chanderpaul is fit for Sunday as it would be a shame for any player on either side to miss out.

On a side note West Indies look good for a crack at winning the World Cup on home soil with the crowds behind them.

A chewing gum god? That's a new one for me, I'm used to seeing people who can just weird things with their body. Still, Gayle did play like a one-day innings master today and his maturity is certainly showing in every knock he's playing this tournament.

If I were Australia I would be hoping half of the side have a bad day! Everything is against Australia - they've never won one of these finals before AND... Extra added pressure MUST be on them because the Ashes is coming up soon and every match must be won or that slightly lost confidence could lose them the whole series!
