2nd Semi Final CT S.A Vs WI

Jaipur

Smith has won the toss and chosen to bat, it must be noted that the 2 previous encounters on this track have been won by the team batting second. S.A are currently 27/0 in 5 overs. West indies have brought back Dwayne Smith and Ian Bradshaw dropping Collymore and Fidel Edwards. S.A have brought in a left arm spinner Robin Peterson and Loots Bosman the opener instead of Dippenar and Langeveldt. Should be a thriller!!!!

Taylor looks real good. SA will be lucky to not lose another wicket to Taylor in the first spell.
Good to see Kallis in at 3.
I wonder why Bosman was picked?

A more sporting pitch for the batsmen in the second semi-final, the bounce is pretty consistent and seam movement is also non-existent but if the ball hits one of the very fine cracks there is some movement.

SA should be looking at 250 definitely, the Windies have a lot of their top order in good form so a good total will be needed.

I'd have a good old guess that SA wanted a more positive cricketer at the top of the innings instead of Dippennar who was wasting balls and not scoring many runs.

2 good Lbw shouts for Taylor turned down by Taufel. I can understand the first not being given. Taylor's appeal was somewhat lacklastre. If Taufel had any doubts, that would have accentuated them. However, the Lbw shout against Bosman looked plumb when I first saw it. The Hawkeye replay seemed to confirm that. Poor decision from Taufel.

SA 44-1. Lucky it is only 1 wicket.
Bosman finding the bowling of a quality he is not used to. Taylor is making him look like a late order batsmen.

Maybe because Dippenaar is the biggest load of Rubbish ever to come out of SA and besides can Bosman possibly do worse than Dippenaar

I can see the West Indian batsmen struggling to knock off anything higher than 220. I'd be pleasantly surprised if their bottle hung up here.

Really diffcult to tell whats a good score. Gibbs and De Villers have got to stay together for next 10 overs.
