I personally don't know why channel nine don't just sack them all and hire Billy Birmingham

And Fleming hands Johnson his wicket, on a platter, with a box of chocolates and a bouquet.

Ha yes, thats exactly what i thought. I personally don't think he's a long-term ODI prospect, but good to give him some experience now before he comes into the test side.

Good innings this by Taylor, who ive never seen. Aggressive and not phased at all by the quality of opposition he's playing. Solid in defense aswell. Kiwi's we'll have to get this runrate going though if they want to chase these runs down. If they can keep the going rate below 7 up until the 40th over, with wickets in hand it could get interesting.

The annoying thing about this Kiwi team is even when you do get them 4 or 5 or even 6 down, someone like Vettori or Franklin will come in and hit an unbeaten 60 or 70. You should never underestimate them.

I like the look of Hilfy. He could play ODI's for a while, seems to be a real wicket-taker which is what the Australian side really need.

Australian selectors are starting to look like a pack of geese for not picking Hogg.

Great hitting by Taylor. 3/154 with 20 overs left. You'd have to say New Zealand are favourites here if they maintain wickets, especially if McMillan decides to come to the party later in the innings.

Harris is in the preliminary World Cup squad of 30. Safe to say though that something would probably have had to have gone very wrong for him to make the final squad.

Interestingly, also recalls for Iain O'Brien and Darryl Tuffey

Great work by Clark, Fulton and Vettori need to stay there till just shy of the end for NZ to hold it together. NZ's tail is weak without McCullum at 7, plus Oram out as well.

And now Fulton has gone . . .
