Commonwealth Bank Series, Hobart: England v New Zeland - 3rd ODI

Fleming has won the toss and elected to bat.

I'll offer 5-1 on a 100 run victory.

Twelve runs off the first over and a fantastic slip and slide attempt from Jimmy Anderson, bad luck as the ball spun back but it still looked really funny.

At least Flintoff ain't taking the new ball.

To England?

England scored a lot more runs against Australia than New Zealand, if England get beat then questions will have to be asked - like the time of the next plane home .

Jon Lewis getting a spanking thus far, he really is no Hoggard.

Good start for New Zealand - 25 of 5 overs.

Well NZ have been slowed down somewhat, 54-1 after 13 overs and Jimmy Anderson is finally pitching the ball up again. He's looked dangerous for his past few overs getting the bal to swing both ways just under 90mph. Great stuff to watch apart from his last ball which was short and got the treatment.

Honours even so far I reckon.

The odds are not so good now, 10-1 on a NZ 100 run victory.

Ern, I believe the England flight sets off at 5am.

150 up for England.

151/5. They still require 55 runs off 67 balls.

With Flintoff there it should be easy enough. But Vettori was just brought back into the attack. I suppose we'll have to wait and see...

Flintoff goes to his 16th 50 in ODI's and England is now 178/5.

Still need 27 off 28.

England need 4 runs off the final over...

McMillan to bowl it. One big hit by Flintoff is all thats required...

England wins!

What should have been an easy enough victory, was eventually down to the second last ball of the final over.

Congrats to New Zealand for making a game of it.

And congratulations to England on their first victory on Aussie soil.
