Ten overs to bowl, 60 balls exactly where intended.

From Atherton's column in the Sunday Telegraph:
Quote:
Before the match even Glenn McGrath [...] was talking about achieving perfection. He said he got close to it once, against New Zealand a couple of summers back in Wellington, but that he ruined his spell (four for 16 off 9.4 overs) with one bad ball – a ball, he stressed, that did not go exactly where he wanted and do exactly what he wanted it to do. Before he finishes he wants to put that right. "It's still the ultimate goal to play the perfect game. I haven't achieved that yet and that's what I'm always striving for."
The game was this one.

Australia batted first and posted 236. NZ very nearly chased it down, and McGrath came back for the penultimate over of the match (his 10th) with Nz needing 12 runs off 12 balls and Australia needing 2 wickets.

The stats are facinating....
Quote:
Bowling O M R W
Lee 9 1 41 3 (3nb, 2w)
McGrath 9.4 3 16 4
Kasprowicz 10 1 62 0 (1nb)
Symonds 10 0 52 1 (3w)
Hogg 9 0 44 1 (3w)
Clarke 1 0 5 0
Should this be counted as the closest a bowler will ever get to perfection in ODI cricket?
