Well lets see what Loye can do - he has produced the goods for Lancashre, and it's strange he has not been given a chance before.

Well what will commentators and forums make of Panesar being left out?, and Dalrymple getting the nod before him?.

Match comments here please.

Be nice to see Loye do well, he's certainly a hitter and very innovative if a little old.

Well he apparently sweeped Brett Lee for 6! and he's caned him for another 4 and has now just hit Bracken for another 4. It's too early to say, but this is the kind of batting we need from our openers, or at least one of them.

At last some one apart from Pietersen is able to attack Australia. Its good to see. Thats the difference between players that are 24 and players that are 30 plus, its called experience and players that are 30+ are usually at there best at around 32. Loye keep going in want to see Australia try to chase down 300+.

Loye out for 36 - but not before he has swept both Brett Lee and Glen McGrath for 6.

Good World cup prospect with the smaller grounds in the World Cup.

Strauss out for 15 or so, a good time for Joyce to make his mark, England will need 300 on this ground with the fast outfield.

Joyce gets 5 from 15 and then the old man claims him. He needs to do more than that if he wants to grab his chance

Bell now run out now - off to a fairly decent start and now 4 wickets for about 20 runs.
