The way New Zealand played against Australia i cant see them losing. You never know there could be an upset.

Well they are 33-1 at the moment with Plunkett getting S P Fleming out for 15.

New Zealand are scoring at about 5 an over - England batting last could mean a turn of fortunes.

Tremlett has conceded 12 in two overs.

I don't like the decision to move Joyce to opening at all. It's not his position. He should be in the middle order working the ball around.

NZ 134-2, going along very well at the moment. Taylor looks a very good player to me.

139/2 in the 26th over, New Zealand still going strong.

Vincent and Taylor on 45* and 46* respectively.

I like the way Lou has returned to the squad: With a chitty-chitty-bang-bang!

What a clueless bit of umpiring earlier.Nixon whips off the bails with the batsmans foot in the air and he refuses to call the third umpire and berates Nixon.Good job it isn't important but imagine if this buffoon did it in a big game at an important stage. The technology is there so use it you clueless twit.

216/4. Finally Jacob Oram walks in. I hope to see some fireworks.

How come umpires don't get berated? I mean in public, like they do with the batsmen and bowlers...

"Umpire Simon, you did not do this, that and the other. We will have none of this nonsence from you anymore. Either do your job properly, or you will lose it"... Or something like that...

The Pakistan / South Africa series MAY have ended differently if the the umpires did their job. Pakistan was at the receiving end of most of the dubious decisions....

More utterly miserable stuff from England. Well bowled Monty, and very well placed Oram. We need a Loye special to stand any chance whatsoever. If he scores less than 70, I'd predict we'll lose by 150 runs.

In fact, if I was Fletcher, I'd be opening with Loye and Flintoff. It is putting all your eggs in one basket, but I think England need to score at nine an over early on to compensate the definite problems the spinners are going to cause. Shame they are our only big hitters.

Lose today with a bonus point, and England have to rely on other teams to qualify. Desperate.

He might be a good batsman but you can't judge that on either of these innings at Perth: cricket requires a contest between bat and ball.. and that requires seamers to be able to command respect with good balls - this pitch offered nothing in the way of lateral movement, the pace and bounce was absolutely consistent and the batsman was able to back away from the stumps, open his shoulders and slog.

Maybe the groundsman ought to go and sign for a baseball team: ge obviously doesn't like the game that's supposed to be payed at the WACA.
