Did KP leave Australia too Quickly

http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/aust...ry/278288.html

The article is stating that both Border and Thorpe question the reasoning behind the quick departure of KP. Something I was unaware of is that he was on the plane before the x-ray was back to the team doctor to see what the damage was done.

According to this articel he could have been playing again in two weeks.

Was this to protect him for the World Cup - or did they over act and send him home to early?

Good spot A-Y - If he went home before the X Rays came back, then it could only have been to protect him for the World cup, or some other reason we don't know about.

It will add fuel to the argument that England don't take one day cricket seriously other than the World Cup of course.

Why not send him home?

I can't see the problem,if he had stayed and come back too quickly he might have ended up missing the World Cup,as it stands he will be fit and hungry when he gets there unlike the rest of the team.

That could have applied to Flintoff - he could have been at home with his feet up after his ankle operstion, instead of being everyones fall guy for what has gone on in Australia.
Strauss could have gone home also after the mauling he got, and Vaughan like Flintoff should not have been there in the first place along with Harmison and Trescothick - and on it goes.
