| I think afridi is primary still a batsman, but the only reason i think he is in the team is due to his fast leg breaks, but he is so unorthsadox he can never be consistant meaning he will never score a hugh score in one day cricket becase he will get out smashing

| Afridi is probably the "biggest hitter" around, but that doesnt mean he's the best. Actually Afridi is a bit of an anomaly, because as mentioned he also bowls reasonable leg spin. This means Pakistan can afford him to blaze away for the 2 out of 10 innings where he comes off. Pakistan are also lucky to have Yusuf, Younis and Inzamam to build big totals. However if if was the WC final and i had to choose a batsman to win me the game I'd go for Ponting or Yusuf easily.

| Is the tag big hitter someone who scores fast of some one who is able to hit the ball a long distance, Afridi is a below average batsman he may score quicker than the rest on the list but he is the worst batsman on the list.

| It may be more relevant to ask who will be the "best" batsman in the World Cup. We could define "best" from the number of runs scored, average and Strike rate.

| Or who will be the biggest hotter consistantly because really anyone on there day can be a big hitter

| Ok consistently the biggest hitter would be mixed between there batting average, Strike rate and also sixes per innings ratio. Sixes to innings ratio (top 15)
Dhoni 3/3 Afridi 2/3 Kemp 2/3 Flintoff 2/3 Pietersen 3/3 Symonds 3/3 Jayasuriya 2/3 Oram 1/3 Gayle 1/3 Gilchrist 2/3 Hayden 2/3 Ponting 2/3 Kallis 2/3
