I feel Brain Lara will want to go out of the one day game on top, and he will nothing better to lift the world cup and be the player of the series, and i think an outsider to preform is gramem smith, iu feel due to lack of recent form and the world cup stage is set up for the arrogant batsman, also he is captain of south africaand taking them into it as the best one day team so i thi nk it might bring out the best in him

Bravo

Dwayne Bravo will be the player of the 2007 Cricket World Cup. He can win matches with both the bat and the ball. He has a high strike rate in terms of picking up wickets, and his subtle change of pass has seem him pick up many a key wickets in the final Ten overs of close matches. He also has centuries scored at good strike rates against England and Austrailia already, and he is still to reach is best. Bravo is also a spectacular match winning fielder who has taken some stunning catches in his short international career. The other likely winner is the mighty tiger shanderpaul.

If South Africa are destined to win the World Cup, I think Herschelle Gibbs will play a dominant part. It would be justice of a sort...after he famously 'dropped' the Cup 8 years ago.

With the bat..if SA had to win I have a feeling that it would be newer blood like AB taking the step up....Graeme Smith I also have a feeling he may have something to prove this WC.

If India play well in the World Cup,Sachin Tendulkar might get the award. He got it last time.
