Andrew Symonds is getting better and looked good in his net practice session. He is confident that he will be
play Australia's third match against South Africa.

Justin Kemp
and Herschelle Gibbs have got some injury scare before their World Cup with Kemp's toe being hit by a delivery and Gibbs got a finger injury.

The SA Dr said that the physical injuries to Kemp & Gibbs are nothing to worry about and should not stop them playing.

Hi, my name is John and I am new to the forum.

I came here to read the opinions of those who know much more about cricket than I ever shall because I have created a mathematically based forecast of the upcoming World Cup. I have found the views expressed here extremely helpful but would love to post a link to my site in the hope that some of you might be interested enough to take a look. I am anxious not to break any forum rules so would appreciate some guidance. Thanks guys.

Hi John welcome to WAT.
Thank's for not just posting your link - if your site is a forum, then place it here , if it's just a bit of fun then you can post it here .

I think we would all like to know who will win the world Cup, even if it is a mathematical forcast .

Thanks Ernest. From my perspective it's a serious attempt at 'modelling' but for everyone else it's just a bit of fun. It's something I did with reasonable success for the football world cup but this is my first effort with cricket, hence the need for some constructive feedback. I'd certainly welcome any and all comments so I'll go and post immediately.

Question

I think it would be fun to run a poll where only English can vote...and ask who is going to win the world cup...?

I just can't for the life of me think who they would vote for.

Hmmmm...

Lightbulb Interesting fact of the hour:

Aresenal's chances of winning any silverware this season are approximately the same as their chances of winning the cricket world cup.
