He had a point there. India havent been mentioned amongst the favorites, infact I've seen little mention of them at all.

There is no argument that India have a talented batting line up, and some useful young seamers but their current form has been a bit hit and miss and as a rule India dont travel well. The wickets in the WI could resemble those from the subcontinent so India may well have a chance.

There chief run getter Tendulkar is past his best, Schwag has lost form. The bowling attack is poor in the seam department. They just don't have players to be called favourites. They could possibly win it but you would have to be an ardent Indian fan to think they are favourites.

I agree that India arent the team of 2-3 years ago. Tendulkar has lost his invincibility but is still a good bat. Dravid is class, Ganguly has found some form and if Sewag hits form he will be very dangerous. If their batting fires though they could have every chance.

In my mind Aus, SA and Sri Lanka will make 3 of the 4 semi finalists the 4th could be from anyone. I would slightly place NZ ahead of Eng, India and Pakistan.

Could be. Curiously, one of the best 'handlers' of Murali's bowling is Mark Boucher. But he must be having nightmares about not taking that easy single after whacking Murali for a six in 2003.

Gone for Sri lanka, Pakistan and India.

I'll be amazed if one of the three isn't in the finals.

I don't think australia will do it this time due to age and injuries and England wont make it out of super 8's

I'd be astonished if the semi final doesn't include three from Aus, SA, NZ and Sri Lanka: I've actually voted for Sri Lanka ahead of NZ but with reservations about leaving out NZ.
