| SA can't win WC in W. Indian conditions??? I've noticed that a lot people cite that West Indians conditions won't favour the SA attack... Why Not? Here is success rate within the West Indies after 2000 in order of success: SA won 10 out of 12 - 83.33% Success Rate Pak won 7 out of 10 - 70% Success Rate SL won 3 out of 5 - 60% Success Rate Aus won 4 out of 7 - 57% Success Rate Eng won 2 out of 5 - 40% Success Rate Ind won 3 out of 8 - 37.5% Success Rate NZ won 1 out of 4 - 25% Success Rate If someone knows something else, that I don't know about the pitches...please do tell.. |

| Thanks Harmy's Army, Interesting articles... if that's true..its criminal that Harris didn't get a chance to have a shout...as he seems to be the most genuine thing that SA have in the spin department (which is relative, of course)... Petersen sis omeone that gets in becuase he can bat (a bit), field, but has never impressed (me at least) too much as a spinner... But the only slow options are him and Smith (off-spinners) and hasn't got an awful much of recent bowling under his belt. |

| A fair assessment of SA's chances by Jon Agnew. Of relevance to the topic under discussion is this extract: Quote:

| Well actually S.A cant win a WC because they umm mess up in pressure situations these days... like in finals of big tournaments... the conditions are the same for everyone.
