Gas leaks & fallen sightscreens

There have been a few hiccups already to the visiting teams at the Caribbean. There was the gas leak and supposed fire scare to the SA and Pak teams; then a sight screen falling over in one of the warm-up matches; today, the pitch was supposed to be unsatisfactory in the SA vs Pak matchin Trinidad. I hope that these 'niggles' are corrected soon; we want a nice, clean tournament.

Yes, you are right. Managing a tournament of this magnitude is not a very easy job. Even the slightest of mistake can have significant effects. But things like sight screen falling over is a bit too silly. Lets hope for a smooth trounament.

Talking

Well if the pitch is so bad how did S.A go on to make 199?

I think a big hullaboo is being made about small things, Sami prolly set his clothes on fire cuz he was'nt able to control the iron in his room and thats why he ran screaming down the halls...

Either way Afridi refused to leave... and when he did he apprently left his shorts behind as he walked out

see what i mean... u can make words say anything cant ya??? thats what the press is doing.

Though to be precise, the 'hiccups' seem to be following one team around:

- The fallen sight-screen: the interruption in Pakistan's first match.
- The South African complaints about a 'sub-standard' pitch: the interruption in Pakistan's second match.
- In between, their hotel was on fire.

Ideal preparations.

Its not as if Pakistan are any short on drama even without all this kerfuffle!

Whatever the 'hiccups' are, they seem to be following Pakistan for a long time. The team gets into trouble virtually every series.

Never a dull moment...either on or off the pitch!

Conspiracy theorists would claim that one of the two 'unfit' pacemen pushed down the screen while the other set the hotel on fire. Odd way to improve one's 'fitness', I would have thought.

A sight-screen falling over "slight" - I think it fair of a player to be able to rely on fielding next to a sight-screen, without there being a danger of it falling on him/her.
The "gas leak" or the "fire scare" - could have happened anywhere .
