The Ireland v Pakistan game is now delayed by rain, and I am therefore calling it a night with Ireland on 81-4 in reply to Pakistan's total of 132 all out. Ireland have plenty of time - half an innings, in fact, if the weather allows it. And I guess - but I can't check - that they are presently ahead on Duckworth Lewis. I'll check for the result in the morning.

Update: Cricinfo is now back up and running and confirms that Ireland are ahead under the D/L method. Also, because more than 20 overs have been bowled, there will be a result today - the reserve day only comes into play if fewer than 20 overs are possible.

Ireland still needing 15 wickets with 7 wickets down - this game is still alive.

Just 11 needed now and Sami's finished his 10 overs. St Patrick to come in next.

This is getting really tense. 5 more runs to go and Akmal just saved 4 wides that would have made the scores equal.

Ireland have beaten Pakistan - history has been made.

Pakistan go home.
Ireland in the Super Eights

I wonder if Ed Joyce wonders if he picked the better team to play for,

LOL!

Ah, my weak Irish roots are suddenly partying... thankfully that mini-collapse earlier didn't come to anything!

Two shocks in one day - it's a good job I'm not a betting man really!
