It would seem according to TMS that some players went out on the town until the early hours.

Nothing wrong with that. As far as I know they had today off. Are they supposed to stop having fun just because they've lost yet another game?

Well, its not just fun......its about the stress as well. Going out and enjoying for sometime forgetting about cricket will help them put the loss behind. I dont see anything wrong with that.

Why not? Couping them up would hurt the morale of the players alot more. The management should be first in line when it comes to fines being bandied about.

There's something about the England management that I don't understand. Three fifths of the way through the biggest test series that England ever plays they allow the players to disperse all over Melbourne and do what the heck they like with a test match starting the following day; in the Windies in a one-day competition in which England would have to have a complete disaster not to progress to the Super Eights, they bar them from taking a night out at the end of the cricketing day with no match coming up until everyone will be well over the hangover.

The management are clearly barking. After the match, the team should be positively encouraged to go out and relax for a few hours: work starts again tomorrow.

Agreed - the players have been named.

Well you have a point - however if the England players went on the pop ecery time they lost a ODI, they would never be sober .

I feel that they needed to drown their sorrows in a drink or two that evening without going OTT, bearing in mind the Canada match tomorrow. But the 4 players themselves were stupid to go to a club where they would be recognised; they could have relaxed somewhere privately.

Still, it was very mean of those "supporters" to have sent e-mails to the management. I cannot stand sneaks .
