India field first...

India won the toss and put Sri Lanka in as expected. I hope that they get Jayasuriya out asap!

India have risked going in with 4 bowlers only, meaning that Ten-Wag will have to do the fifth bolwer bit....maybe with a bit of help from Ganguly?

Yes Nostromo. The big one is underway and already Zahir has conceded 10 runs in his first over. I am quite surprised that India chose to bowl first. I am also surprised with thte team. I felt that perhaps Sreesanth could have played instead of Agarkar. Also Maybe Pathan for Sehwag (thrust me Sehwag wont score today). I am hoping for an India win but why did they bowl first, After scoring 350 in the previous game, they should have tried to bat Sri Lanka out of hte game here.

Anyway lets see what happens

SL are 17 for no loss after 4 overs. That is slow by their standards. Agarkar is bowling well so far, which is good because he can be expensive early on.

Apart from that bad first over, Indian bowlers have done well so far. Lankan openers have been struggling with their footwork. A few wickets will be noice.

Please keep posting score updates, guys. I am stuck at work with no TV. The Cric.info site is saturated and won't open while the other live score sites are too slow to update. I am sweating even as I type this!

That was a very close call. That was hitting the middle. Jayasuriya very lucky.

Doesnt matter.....Jayasuriya gone.....good bowling by the bowlers....they kept it tight for him and created the pressure.

We gottim!! Jayasuriya is gone! Thankfully, that failed lbw appeal was not expensive. C'mon India, get them!

I like the Indians' body language. Fielders are throwing themselves around and bowlers are showing aggression.
