Guyana Super Eight Matches Under Threat

This is a shocking report to be reading only four days before the first match is due to be played in Georgetown. Can the ICC seriously be thinking of moving the fixtures this late, presumably after hundreds of South Africans and Sri Lankans have made their travel arrangements? One has to hope not, or this will be a complete farce.

Cricinfo report on alleged Goergetown ground failings here.

Was all this not known in the planning stages, a complete farce.

Its a complete farce. What the **** can you do 4 days before a big game? As OF has said you cant expect thousands of fans to suddenly relocate. Only the ICC could get this one wrong!

I just hope that this is the ICC using public humiliation as a way of getting the job done. But it beggars belief that no-one saw this problem weeks ago.

Perhaps they did see it, but buried their heads in the sand and hoped everything would be OK come the big day.
