| The extra day should have been brought in for every game around, it makes the game a lot fairer, Hayden was brilliant again. Concidering he could not even get a game in the ODI team he is the highest run scorer in ODI's for 2007. Ponting last night looked like the only way he was going to go out was run out, I think he looked the best I have seen him bat in a while. | West Indies will lose the advantage of winning the toss and fielding.Australia will have that same boost now with the ball swinging early in the day. They should West Indies innings at the same time the Australian innings ended. The Windies openers have to see through the new ball of they want to get close to this target. If Chris Gayle stays at the crease,it's definetly possible.

On the flip side of that Karthik, the West Indies batsman are now rested instead of having to come into bat after spending 50 overs out in the field - this is especially so for the openers. So there are pluses and minues for both sides.

Yeah I think the windies are blessed with this outcome. Generally it's seen as an advantage to bat first. The only downside is it's good to know what you are aiming for. Now the windies know what they are aiming for, plus they have a fresh pitch, fresh ball, etc. It's the best chance they could have hoped for. I hope australia win. but I'm glad the west indies have the most sporting chance possible.

Well Bracken's first over gives up a wide - but is showing alot of swing.

Tait bags Chanderpaul with an inswinging ball hiting the pads. Chanderpaul played dangeriously the ball before and I am assuming that the pressure of the run rate quickly increasing has placed the extra pressure on him there.

I love the description used on cric info; "Glenn McGrath is being wheeled out to bowl" I have this mental picture now of Glen Mcgrath being wheeled out in a wheel chair to bowl his overs. And as I am writing this the guy in the wheel chair claims Gayle with his 2nd delivery - Gayle used up a lot of deliveries here (23 Balls) to make his 2 runs. West Indies are in a world of hurt right now - they need a partnership and runs as there run rate has slipped to 2.04 Last edited by Aussie-Yank : 28-03-2007 at 02:13 PM.

Oh dear the wheel chair has been push out again and this time Samuels tries to charge the chair and only succeeds in skying the ball to Symonds for a simple catch - 3/20 off 10 overs a run rate of 2 and they are in huge strife now.
