Bravo and Gayle?? Well its a risk but the way they've been playing something had to change.

I think it is worth trying Bravo to open with Gayle. Bravo, Ramadhin and Smith are all to similar in their batting approach in the late middle order. So, Gayle & Bravo to open with Sarwan, Lara, Samuels & Chandrapaul in that order could work. Chandrapaul bats well towards the end with the tail-enders and so worth looking at.

Two wickets down. Barring Lara turning back the years it is all over.

Well, Lara has turned his back instead. Brilliant and lightning stumping by Sangakkara standing up to Vaas. Looks like it is all over for the Windies bar the shouting.

Windies are dying a slow death against Sri Lanka. 100/3 after 30 overs & needing 304 to win. Intelligence has it that a team with wickets in hand can double its 30-over score in the remaining 20 overs, but when it needs to more than treble, it becomes plain craziness.

Pathetic display by the hosts.Looks like they won't be in the semis now.

Sri Lanka are looking good though which is ominous for England.

I agree. I could not believe the way the Windies folded up without a fight. Their display was extremely inept and their hearts were not in it. I would not be surprised if some people smelled a rat.

Oh, I would be very surprised if this Sri Lanka side did not thrash England. You have to worry about the result of England's match against the West Indies on 21st April; by then the Windies will almost certainly be out of the competition and so no longer under pressure. Of course, England might be in a similar position, but if they are still hanging by their fingernails, they might face a Windies team with nothing to lose and some self-respect to gain.

At the moment this Windies side makes England look good! I really couldn't believe how bad they have played in the Super Eights. And it disappoints me, I truly wanted to see this Windies side perform to its potential.

Some of the fielding yesterday was laughable. I think I saw 3 balls which should have been safely picked up fly through the legs of WI players and onto the ropes.

Their body language suggested that they really weren't interested, especially some of the younger players.
