England just need to see off Tait, the rest of the bowling looks ordinary so they can milk the runs off them.

Agreed. 300+ should be the target form here. Fantastic pitch, also.

Well Flintoff has copped quite a bit in the last 2 or 3 weeks. Be nice for him to a get a few here. we need it!! This pitch looks a real belter, even 300 probably doesn't cut the mustard. Tait looks massively improved to a couple of years ago, McGrath having to resort to getting the ump to field for him . Rudi must be hard as nails!! He didn't even flinch.

He couldn't pick Hogg if his life depended on it. Surely Fletcher must realise by now that Flintoff can't play the finisher role.

Well having send Flintoff had got some stik he is now about to get some more!! It was clear to all that he wasn't picking Hogg so it isn't exactly the worlds best piece of thinking to be leaving his crease. Before the knives are sharpened too much I would just point out that he still has a contribution to make with ball but his batting is a real worry at the minute. In general England managing to make a complete pigs breakfast of a good situation and its now difficult to see how we're going to get enough runs unless Pietersen bats all the way through.

I was really going to try to not mention the loathsome and dispicable Mark Nicholas but I can stands no more!!

As a wise man once said there is nothing worse in the entire world than a turncoat.

Thats a decent point YK. They have just been discussing on the TV the merits of Freddie opening. Maybe we can kill 2 birds with 1 stone? It certainly isn't happening for him where he is and our top order has been nothing short of woeful. Might as well give a go IMO.

The reason for my Mark Nicholas bias is that he is an Englishman but falls over himself at every opportunity to lionise several members of the Aus team disproportionately to the events on the field; the man gives IMO the most slanted view of any game in which Aus play (as I've said elsewhere he makes Ian Healy sound like Richie Benaud!!). Whilst I understand that people will naturally side with their own country as an Englishman Nicholas's sycophancy to his employers at channell 9 and their one eyed coverage is frankly appalling IMO.

Its not just me I'm sure YK. Maybe we should do a poll to see if I'm getting my knickers in a twist over nothing
