I suppose it could have been worse, but it should have been better. Bell again, arrggghhh! Why does he annoy me so much? I wouldnt get so wound up if he had no talent but he clearly has loads, he's just not making the most of it.I think we should now guess how many overs it will take the Aussies to knock the runs off. I'm going for 35-40 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

At this stage Australia to win. But England could change if they get 3 wickets for under 100.

Dead right YK. If he takes that we really would be dead and buried, mind you if Rudi was a bit quicker we'd have 3 more runs!! as you point out SA fell over during a chase yesterday and SL defended less than this against us. However this is Oz we talking about and I guess they would chase this down 7 or 8 times out of 10. They bat such a long way down Hayden and Gilchrist have full liscence so we know they are going to come really hard at us; big test for us in the first 10 overs' I would go as far to say atleast 2 wickets needed because if not oz will be aroun 65/70 without loss or even worse.

Yes well - Vaughan - Strauss - Collingwood - Flintoff, lets wait and see if Flintoff and Collingwood get wickets.

All rounders always have a chance to make amends.

Strange looking England scorecard, only Bell 77 - Pietersen 104 and Bopara 21 getting into double figures.

Vaughan 5 - Strauss 7 - Collingwood 2 - Flintoff 4 - Nixon 8 - Mahmood 0 - Panesar 1 - Anderson 0 .Extras 18.

Ern, as Flintoff is our premier bowler no one is doubting him place in the team. But he so out of form with the bat he now needs to open and have a slog or bat at no.8 - until his from comes back.

It was the mode of Flintoff's dismissal that showed him as a plonker, charging out of his crease to be stumped at that stage was total lunacy.

We are 50 runs short at least here. Can't see anything but an Aussie cruise to victory.

So both openers were out lbw in the first 8 balls of the innings only for poor umpiring to allow them to stay.

Cheers, game over now as we won't be given 2nd chances.

What did I say about umpiring decisions The first one dead, just dead. The second one a bit more forgivable but these are the ones we need in our favour if we're going to defend this score. Gilchrist running from the non strickers end on the same side a Anderson is bowling. I haven't seen that before. Could be ineteresting if theres a quick single with the bowler having to field it

It is the way it goes sometimes; you just hope it doesn't happen to you when if you lose your out of the world cup!!
I'm sure the aussies will say it always evens itself up. We'll see.
