April 15th: Bangladesh v Ireland

Well, here we are: the game that was meant to be the big one between India and Pakistan is here, and it's Ireland and Bangladesh who are playing it. Ireland won the toss and have elected to bat in their quest to avoid last place in the Super Eights. And they got off to a pretty fast start, moving to 23-0 after five overs. At the time of writing, they've slowed slightly and are now 26-0 from 7.2 overs.

Comments here please.

I guess Irish gonna have another 'big day' today. Things look bright for them at the moment.

Bangladesh should win at a canter, but who knows with the crazy results thus far in this World Cup.

BD have just broken through. The labouring Jeremy Bray run out at last, after many false alarms. 92/1 in the 26th over.

Ireland close on 243-7 and I think they would back themselves to defend that. In fact, so will I.

Yeah, Irish should win! And I wouldn't consider that as an upset.

To be honest OF I would have backed Bangladesh to beat Ireland after beating South Africa, now I am not so sure.

Bangladesh needs some more boundaries, otherwise the Fighting Irish are in cruise control.
