Hi,
My opinion is also for the Aussies only.I think they are only the team who are playing with a confidence and having the idea to bag the world cup.But the other teams who have selected for the semi's like New zealand,Sri Lanka and south Africa also have that capacity to play and win.

Cricket is twisted game.We can't decide the result.Anyway my choice for aussies only.

Amazing ; the smell of a world cup and Australia starts one of those monster winning streaks again. No wonder Ricky Ponting rates them above the ashes as crickets sweetest prize.

Watching the aussie's today was like watching a pack of lions feast on a defenseless zebra.

After todays demolition of the Black Caps, does anyone have any doubt as to who is going to win the World Cup?

Once again the final is going to be one sided in favour of Australia. I reckon:

If Australia bat first, they will win by more than 100 runs, with plenty of overs to spare, and

If Australia bat second, they will win by 6 or 7 wickets, also with plenty of overs to spare.

The gap between these robots from Australia and other teams is simply too great to give other team(s) even a chance to be competitive...

There is no rest for Ricky, its straight back home and into the Kangaroos AFL aussie rules coaching box to try to conjure up a win for them and turn around thier season. What cant this man do..

Cricket is a funny game, so I wouldn't jump the gun just yet. They will face two very good challenges before they can think about winning it, in a knockout situation the intensity and hunger will make these matches a different proposition altogether.

These days, when Australians are playing, the "glorious uncertainties of cricket" do not apply 99 times out of 100... I do not believe this world cup is the "one" exception.....

The way the Aussies are playing right now, it looks like they are invincible. But in reality, all they are doing is to use their talented and efficient players to the best effect to demoralise the opposition early on in the match, making any sort of recovery difficult. Labelling them as 'robots' or 'boring' simply because they humiliated your home team is petty jealousy and nothing more. The Australians can be beaten and all three teams that are going to (or likely to) face them in the remaining matches have the potential to do it.

South Africa: I think despite their rocky ride upto now, the Proteas have the best chance of springing a surpirse on Oz when the two meet in their Semi-Final. Smith, Kallis & Gibbs are potential high scorers and the likes of Boucher & Kemp can boost the score later. Ntini coming back to form might be the key. The St Lucia pitch might have a say in the matter too.

Sri Lanka: Jayasuriya is obviously the batting key, but he is a bit predictable outside the off stump and has to be careful not to throw away his wicket early on. Thier approach if chasing a really big total set by Oz would be interesting becasue the batsmen will be put under pressure right from the start. Despite his 19 wickets, Murali has not yet set too many hearts racing in this tournament as yet. If SL get to the final and meet Oz, I am not sure how much the Barbados pitch is going to suit him, especially if SL have to bowl first. But then, there is always the Slinga.....

New Zealand: After the Super 8s drubbing, it may seem doubtful if New Zealand can come back against the Australians, but the Bond factor is a big one. I don't think that even the Oz batting machine can take liberties with Bond bowling his full quota of 10 overs and the also returning Oram is likely to be more economical (even if not much else) than Gillespie. So, if the Kiwis make it to the final (and face Oz), they are likely to give the Big Brother a bit more of a fight.

In short, a really inspired performance from Ntini, Bond or the Slinga could do it on the day.

Cast your mind back to when they were unexpectedly humbled by England (of all teams) in the Commonwealth Bank series, and that too after dominating most of the tournament and in thier own back yard. I'm not saying theyre going to lose, but in my books they certainely aren't invincible.
