So, who will win the world cup now?

We have the semi's decided. With 4 teams left. You know, on paper, I would say Australia but you never know.

South Africa rally to beat Australia in the Semi-final and then a really close final against Sri Lanka or New Zealand (I haven't decided which ), winning it by 1 wicket in the last over of the tournament. I'll be richer by £500.

I say Australia, but I hope it's Sri Lanka, they have played really well, and I reckon it'll AUS vs SL in the final, Australia to win by a tiny lead, and it shows that Australia aren't invincible anymore.

We already know that they have vulnerabilities.

They were never invincible as such, only the most determined team to win. New Zealand and even England showed that a few months ago that Oz can be beaten with the right sort of approach. I still believe that man-for-man South Africa have a better team than Australia but there is a huge gulf in their outlook. The Australians think like champions while the Proteas lack that self-belief and tend to choke at crucial moments. I was hoping that the 438 victory last year would have cured that tendency, but their performance thus far in this World Cup shows that there are still some demons to be exorcised.

I think Ntini will be crucial in the semi-final agaist Australia. I hope that his omission from the England game serves as a wake-up call and he comes out with all cylinders firing. It is fortunate that Langeveldt did not do all that well in the England match because SA now don't need much excuse to drop him to bring back Ntini. The choice between Kemp and Peterson will depend on the conditions at St Lucia and maybe the toss.

Their middle order and lower order batting have been dissapointing.
