... and far enough adrift that I am calling it a night. If they come back from this position, they deserve to win the final, but I'm afraid I can't see it happening, so, prematurely, well done to Sri Lanka. And good night to all!

I'm finished for the night too. I am on a night shift and this match is as good as over anyway. Pity, I was hoping that it would be a close contest.

Well, it looks to be game over for New Zealand. 148-8 from 31 overs. Need another 142 odd to win the match. Murali has got a lot of assisstance from the pitch. A great toss to win for Jawerdene and a great innings for him. The hard question is who deserves to be man of the match? Murali or Jawerdane (spelling).

Great effort from Sri Lanka, but for me, New Zealand were poor. Syris hasn't looked in form. most of middle order didn't impress at all. Bond had an off day. I guess Sri Lanka wanted vicotry more.

Wait, 149-9, lol Murali with another 1. Bowled middle stump. So It will be Sri Lanka in the final, but versus whom?

Won't match the other 2 teams, but I think the final will be a good game. Personally, its Australia all the way, I would be very suprised if they didn't win the World Cup let alone the South Africa match.

Well, finally, SL bowl them out for 208. Great performance, Jawerdene is my Man of the match. Good luck in the final Sri Lanka, but i don't think you'll win.

Yep so would I - the Aussies look invincible.

At least New Zealand went out fighting to the end, not with a wimper like some of the matches in this World Cup I have seen.

Poor old New Zealand the tyres allways seem to blow out about this stage of the tournament.

To many burn outs prior to the the main drag race like a few of thier previous world cup attempts.

Sweet revenge for the Aussies for their 1996 loss in the World Cup finals!
