Goodness me.... what happened to all that talk of calm and focus, they batted like a bunch of mad men. What a disappointment, 10 overs and its all over. Some 1999 re-match this was.

Michael Clarke really illustrated how much he has matured by ensuring a calm run chase towards the end there. I have to say that with Tait and Clarke the future continues to look bright for australian cricket.

Well done Australia, streamrolling everyone that gets in there way. Tait has been brilliant who would have thought that he would be equal second on the 2007 World Cup wickets list.

Top 5 WC Wicket takers
  1. McGrath - 25 wickets at 13.04
  2. Muralitharan - 23 wickets at 13.34
  3. Tait - 23 wickets at 18.47
  4. Hogg - 20 wickets at 15.65
  5. Malinga - 16 wickets at 14.68
Top 5 WC Run Scorers
  1. Hayden - 621 runs at 77.62 - Sr 104.02, 3x100, 1x50
  2. Jayawardene - 529 runs at 66.12 - Sr 84.64, 1x100, 4x50
  3. Ponting - 502 runs at 71.71 - Sr 95.98, 1x100, 4x50
  4. Styris - 499 runs at 83.19 - Sr 83.44, 1x100, 3x50
  5. Kallis - 485 runs at 80.83 - Sr 83.91, 1x100, 3x50
It shows how the two teams that have made the final are by far the best two bowling sides throughout the competition. It will be a close final

I Agree. It is going to be a totally one sided final in favour of Australia.

At least the final is being played between the two best teams in the competition.

I fancy the Aussies to win . Theyve bowled everyone bar Bangladesh out and their batting is awesome, the only real negative is that they've not been tested this WC yet.

I feel that Sri Lanka will be more competitive than many people think, their bowling line up isnt exactly poor and if their batting fires you never know......

This is strangely true. And even stranger is that both sides were briefly challenged by the appalling England team.
But for a horrid collapse from the riches of 166 for one (or two) and Bopara running to square leg when needing three to win off the last ball, England could have been cast in a very different light.

I'm kidding of course.

Please win Australia, I couldn't bear it if that grimacing clown Muralitharan was on the winning side again.
