At the 22nd over Sri Lanka are 2/139 verus Australia's 0/163.

So The Sri Lankan's are only 24 runs behind at the moment - certainly not out of this game yet.

I think the weather will see an early end to the game.

A shame we couldn't get a full match in but I don't think anyone can argue that the aussies are derserving winners.

Lets hope they don't shove any West Indies dignatories of the victory podium this time!!

I really feel for these two teams they have both played brilliantly... a 38 over WC final... gr8!! Rain coming down all the time... that makes for a lot of slippery places... what a farce.

This is getting a bit silly now. SLin a position where they do not know their revisedtotal but have to start playing as if they delay further they'll lose more overs.

Unsatisfactory? the whole final is a total farce.... how can a WC final be shortened to 38 overs without the reserve day coming into play... how can the umpires let play go on in this light with Tait bowling and Mcgrath bowling full tosses to take wickets this is a joke. Both teams have played brilliantly and they did not deserve this... hollow victory to Australia.. gnight!

I can't help but think that 50 overs for a World Cup final should be mandatory, I don't believe it would have made any difference to the result, as Australia would have had another 12 overs, but at least it would have been a complete match.
