I'll believe that when I see it. Inida have flattered to deceive on too many occasions in the past. Yuvraj Singh in particular is long overdue for a good score.

To be honest I think anything less than 320 should be viewed as something of a dissapointment by India from this start. And if someone like Dhoni or Youvraj got on a role in the final overs with these short boundary's they could get a hell of a lot more.

What a six from Tendulkar. Danced down and hit it over the bowler for a flat six.

Unique record for Tendulkar- He is now has scored 1000 ODI runs against every test playing team.

India have a longish tail with Powar or Agarkar coming in at No:7. So the proper batsmen have to make the best of a good start in order to post a really good total.

Tendulkar given out "caught" off his arm guard for 99. If India lose from here, that little matter will be conveniently forgotten by most English papers, of course. If it had been KP on the other hand........

Clearly another colonial conspriacy Nostro.

The Indian spinners doing the job now. Wonder why we left our best one out?

Frankly, I am surprised that spinners have done this well so far. I did not think that the Bristol pitch was that conducive to spin bowling and thought that selecting 2 spinners was an error by India. Mind you, the ball is not turning that much and Pietersen, Collingwood & Flintoff have all got themselves out. Bell is becalmed a bit.

I see what you mean. Its not exactly a bunsen, but when the seamers start going around I guess any variation is useful. Brilliant googly to see off the England skipper and I agree with you on Bell also; 50 off 76 when chasing 329 isn't great.

Never mind, perhaps our bits and pieces players (Bopara, Prior and Mascarenhas) to justify England's continuing ridiculous selection policy of "2 string" players over specialists will see us home. Unfortunately I expect another abject ODI defeat and I will post my Monty deselection rant later!!

Bopara out. Good ball; I felt that Patel foresaw that Bopara was planting his left leg on front to try and force the ball to vacant spaces on the leg side and bowled straight. Good cricket.
