Even with my England specs on I have to give that. Stumbling to another defeat with no real plan, no real structure. The game at Southampton seems to have been a one off and our victory due to a quite bewildering decision by Dravid. More pain for us on Monday I feel!!

100 required from 10 overs. With only 4 wickets left, it will be difficult.

Bell just committed Hara-Kiri. That was stupid. After hitting a six, brisk running between wickets could have been good enough. This is it, I think.

England havnt batted that badly, they are chasing a large score and for once we got off to a good start and were always up with the rate. Unfortunately we then did what we always do and lost wickets in clumps at vital times.

This is still a better performance than England of 6 months ago would have put up - then we'd have been 30-2 off 20 overs and 150 all out.

Bell takes up a third of our overs and scores a fifth of the total needed. Not great!!

Agarkar moans at one of his fielders!! Considering He's bowled like a bloke with no arms more front than Brighton!!

Not a bad effort from us chasing however but a well deserved victory for India. Spotlight on Moores I guess.

Mascerenhas is looking mad and dangerous. 5 sixes and no fours. Someone should tell him that such things are not done.

Thats a good little knock by Mascaranhas. If only Bell hadnt got bogged down .......

Edit:

India win by 10runs. All in all not a bad performace by England chasing a big score. As I said earlier that wouldnt have happened 6-12 months ago.

Yes to your first point, and again to your second ( no surprise there).

The truth is India batted well, and England batted as well as they have for some time - they will play worse and win, but well done India.

Well he did and thats just not good enough IMO. Blocking it to get to your personal milestones is not the way to go.

On your second point, are we really celebrating losing games by a closer margin?!

Guys, selecting a cricket team really isn't that hard I promise!! You pick your best 5 bats, your best allrounder, your best keeper and your 4 best bowlers. I don't care if the bowlers can't bat or the batsmen can't bowl and the keeper can't bat or bowl as long as he can catch. This seems to be revolutionary in modern cricket coaching circles and I guess they must know more than me but can't we at least give it a go?
