| England v India - Third one-day international, Edgbaston: 27th August. Start 10-15am. England and India level at one match each, but with Flintoff's knee injured England could be in trouble again iof he does not play - he is Engand's best ( and fastest bowler to date this series). Quote:

| I hope Flintoff doesn't play,if he has an injury then don't risk him.I would rather he was fit for the tour to Sri Lanka than a meaningless 7 game jamboree against India. |

| According to the BBC Flintoff has been rested as a "precaution" .This will weaken Englands bowling significantly - we will miss his pace and bounce which has caused all of Indias batsmen problems. Ern, I still think we should play Panesar (or another spinner) even against India. Its a chance of pace in the bowling which we need especaially now as we have no Flintoff. And from Collys point of view it may speed the over rate up

| Droping Panesar looked like a mistake but I dont think it was one. Indian batsmen would have scored another 40 runs had Panesar played. Ganguly would love to face a spinner on that kind of track.

| I wasnt keen to play Tremlett either, he lacks courage "under fire". However with no Flintoff our bowling is lacking in pace and bounce and a bit one dimensional. Granted Tremlett isnt quick, but at least he has a bit of bounce and if Anderson gets it right he can be sharpish.

| What was Pietersen doing? Gave his wicket away. It should be India all the way.

Now that might be a chink in Pietersen's armour. Dwelling too much on previous dismissals by a particular bowler and letting it needlessly bug his mind. |

| Collingwood was given 'not out' in a ridiculous lbw where the ball was hitting the middle stump. Still think it is simply "one of those things"? "India all the way" John? I think Mark Benson has strated the process to see that it does not happen. Last edited by Nostromo : 27-08-2007 at 11:39 AM. |
