| Thin looking bowling attack? Really?! Looks to me like we are building toward an excellent one-day bowling attack. |

| Well the front three of Anderson, Broad and Flintoff do indeed look like they could develop into a very fine unit but once you get past them there is Monty and Collingwood plus a bit of Bopara filling in the remainding 20 overs which is perfectly competent but nothing more than that. It's still a frontline bowler short and still lacks that wicket taking option in the middle overs that the top international sides possess. Bring in someone like Plunkett for Shah and the side has a hell of a lot more balanced look to it IMHO. Last edited by engssmoothcriminal : 30-08-2007 at 02:07 PM. |

| After so many years, Ganguly should know that he is not very good at pulling. He keeps losing his wicket to that shot so many times.

| Yes, see where you're coming from but Flintoff at six and Bopara at seven leaves a very long tail in my opinion. England have got it about right I think - but Bopara still needs to prove himself. He is clearly highly rated by the management, but we need to see more evidence of his worth (IMO). |

| Isn't he naturally incredibly aggressive. Know he's not exactly shown it over here, but he has a reputation of a stroke-maker of some repute. |

| ... and after 30 overs that looks something like the target India are likely to set (105 on the board at that stage). Could be in for an interesting evening, and it seems to be time I left work to go and listen to it.

The England seamers are bowling well, hope they take this form to Sri Lanka. The India batting Tendulkar and Yuvraj apart, have been dissapointing. Wonder what a good score is on this pitch, but I doubt India will reach it. India 164-6 - with 9 overs remaining, the batsmen now playing some good shots.

| India all out for 212 off 49.4 overs. TMS team feeling is that that should be a beatable target for England. Their innings starts at 1845 BST.

| England are off to a corking start - 14/2. This match isnt over yet..... According to cricinfo (never the most reliable) Bells just been dropped too! I was going to say England needed to avoid losing early wickets to take the pressure off....
