Thas was a pretty awful batting performance. Several players gave their wickets away having been in a good few overs, too many starts and no-one over 31.

I assume Prior has the five games in Sri Lanka to prove he's up to it.

9.3 is the "magic number" that CricInfo (and TMS) have come up with (15 runs an over). The fact it is a slow pitch and we have some bowlers who can take the pace off the ball. I still think we will go through, but sadly the chance to ensure that Australia don't do the same are not good.

my question is: how close does it have to be for Oz to be knocked out?
all i care about are the slim chances of zim going through.

Lot depends on Flintoff's bowling Moss IMO - problem is he has a lot of pace, and on this pitch he could be expensive.
I hope Broad bowls better aslo, but IMO a lot depends on the medium pacers, and Schofield.

England are down - but not quite out I can't see Australia getting that total in 9.3 overs.
Female commentator on TMS also Moss.

We need a wicket or two quickly, if these two get a good start they'll go for the 9 overs as they would love to put us out. If we can slow em down they'll be happy enough with the win. For us to win there needs to be some serious bowling from us and probably a few cockups from Aus.

Hmm, swing for broad...

Because Zim lost to England by more than they beat Aus then any Aua victory gives them a superior rate. I'm afraid only an England win will do the job for you Butch!!

Collingwood on first change. He really seems to rate his own bowling! First over went for 16 too, bad move.
