| The umpiring decisions did go against the Aussies, but i think the deciding factors were (1) Dhoni smashing 20 runs off the final over against Bracken, (2) Pressure mounting on the Aussies in the final 20 overs due to the laborious effort from Hodge, who is totally unsuited for ODI's, (3) Fantastic bowling dicipline by the Indians in the final 10 overs. Forget the umpiring, the Indians won that one fair and square, but the Aussies played very well and can hold their heads high too.

| You've always got to play well against Australia. They NEVER roll over. Even when they lose they have always played pretty well. That's what is so annoying being an English fan. When we lose it is very often accompanied with a weak and spineless team performance. Even on relative bad days Australia end up winning more games than they lose. |

| I hope we win the next one as well and keep the series alive. I wish there were test matches as well. India-Australia test matches in India get very interesting.

| Hopefully Dhoni keeps his feet on the ground and remembers that not only that he is the captain, he's also a vital batsman for India in the ODI format and needs to keep his pinch hitting, like the 50 in the last match.

| The Indians come down here in a couple months, and that series will be just as interesting as one in the subcontinent. In terms of quality, you would have to say that both teams are evenly matched. India have the edge in experience, the Aussies have home ground advantage. This upcoming series in Australia promises to be one hell of a contest

It seems that I might have judged Mitchell Johnson prematurely during and immediatly after the Caribbean World Cup. He seems to be quite good when on song. |

| I was thinking more in terms of all the cricket coming up,if it is a muscle injury they can take time to heal, longer with him being a veteran and he may miss a test or two and with Langer already retired it must be a worry. Hopefully a few days rest and he will be fine. |

| Well done to the Aussies on winning the series,i thought you would as we were able to beat India recently and if our rabble can beat the old men then you should be able to which you have done with ease. |

| I think i have to agree with the old men comment, India need new blood in their batting order, at least in ODI's. Tendulkar and Ganguly were OK at times but also looked past their best. Dravid is looking very tired. But Australia were no certainties to dominate like they have. They were playing a pumped up India, at home, and fresh from their 20/20 success. Apart from the 20/20 comp, we had not played for 4 months. Ponting was out injured for the first two matches. No Hussey. No Tait. And an Injured Bracken. And playing with few relatively inexperienced newbies. I am pleasantly surprised that it has all gone so well to be honest
