| frankly speaking nostromo...i dont want to tinker with the batting line-up too much,i really feel as though rohit sharma is a great number 3/4 batsman in whatever much i have seen of him. its just his inexperience which showed when he got out to a stupid shot and rightly so he was livid with himself and probably lost out on a 50 or even a 100,he is very young and he'll learn, he was such a perfect foil to yuvraj batting at the other end. really his style and solidity at times gave me glimpses of dravid.i think sachin is most comfortable opening in ODI's and got most of his runs there so let him be there as long as he plays, at this point i dont think sehwag warrants a place in the team given that both gambhir and uthappa coming in at number 3 are naturally aggresive players. i really do like the idea of playing 5 bowlers, as we dont struggle that much in the middle overs trying to find bowling options. i'm just so glad yuvraj found his touch today, its a treat to watch him in full flow, it makes the indian middle order look so different when he's playing well. about uthappa, i would give the poor guy more time up the order.. before deciding to give rohit sharma the number 3, yuvi up one place at 4 where he enjoyed a lot of success and send uthappa in the number 6 slot where he did fairly well in england and ODI's in india against aussies. |
