CB Series

This series has kind of flown under the radar so far with the first two games being washed out.
Sri Lanka and India are the challengers this time around.

Game three is on tonight, Aus v SL at SCG, the aussies compiling 253/6 on a slow SCG pitch, Clarke was the star scoring 77*. It's a chaseable score though.

Will SL could not do much chasing. As usual, OZ are good while exerting pressure when it matters. Well done.

SL were doing OK until their captain threw away his wicket. SL lost the plot after that.

Aussie topping the table now after their big win last night. I think they'll make the finals, with probably Sri Lanka to join them.

This is not unexpected.. In the past 30 odd years, the Aussies have failed to reach the finals only on 2-3 occassions.

I probably phased that wrong, of course Aus will be in the final, I'm picking SL to join them.

On a similar note, anyone else remember the year Australia A were in the competition as well and both aussie teams made the finals?

It was in the Ashes year when England toured Australia in either 93-94 or 94-95. England were knocked out of the finals...

Hi sitting duck

yes srilanka has got much better batting/bowling line up than indians(at least in this tournament) but still I won't write off indians for the finals Vs Aussies

expecting a better batting display by the indian batsmen tomorrow(especially middle order)

Only worry for the indians would be tricky cutters of bracken n co(not to forget fiery spell from brett lee)

India scraped home against SL just now. This match was crucial because I think the winner would face Oz in the final.

best game of the series after the india v australia low scoring match(160 odd run chase one)
Both teams bowlers bowled brilliantly(except maharoof)and the return to the form yuvraj's scintillating half-century was as good as sangakkara's 100 odd runs
But the Indian Top order looked just not right failing once again (may be sachin/Uthappa needs to be rested/droped for the next game and should include sehwag for opening)
