Wow, Oram's living dangerously. Collingwood brought Sidebottom back and almost first ball he inside edged past his stumps and a few balls later survived what looked like a plumb LBW shout turned down by Asad Rauf. I gave it not out on first look as I felt he got an inside edge but on replay it didn't look like he did.

Mascarenhas on and Mustards up to the stumps.

Mascarenhas is a very hard bowler to read, what pace is he going to bowl.

NZ about 200 and a bit Scott - are the batsmen up to it I wonder.

Taylor gone - hope I don't wait up to a shock again
Good luck both sides and goodnight.

After being 5/64, New Zealand have done well to be 6/160 in 40th over. Vettori and Oram have taken the match away from England. A score of 250 is on the cards. I do not see England scoring more than 180 on this pitch.

Just as I thought - J How strike rate 67, that's even lower than Alastair Cook!
So? When you get a team like New Zealand, full of strokeplayers, someone like How who can bat sensibly for a long period around the rest of the order can become a very valuable player indeed. That's what Kallis does for South Africa, what Chanderpaul does for the Windies, what Attapatu did for Sri Lanka, and what Yasir Hameed should be doing for Pakistan. How's scored a lot of runs at this early stage of his career, and I for one aren't going to write him off at this stage just for being "conventional."

Another English run out, though this time from a sensational bit of fielding from Vettori. One stump to aim at, and he takes Mustard down!

England win by 8 wickets. Well done. Excellent knock by Collingwood under pressure. England have turned the table and are back in the series.

I now know the formula for success,go to bed.I watched all the first game and most of the 2nd and we were awful, last night i couldn't be bothered so went to bed after Ashes to Ashes and didn't get up till the kids stirred at 7.30.What happens,we win easily. So i will ignore the next two games in the hope that it works again.

Good performance by the boys, didn't see the bowling but Broad has great figures once more and must be close to playing in the tests.Good to see Bell,KP and Colly hitting form as they will all be playing in the tests and we will need a big series from at least two of them.

I hope we win the next one in Napier to set up a great finale.

Good to see Collingwood back from wherever he had gone. He is good in this sort of a run chase requiring a build-up before accelerating towards the target. Well done.
