Third One Day International:New Zealand v England, Auckland Friday, 15 February .

Match Starts 01:00GMT.

England are 2-0 down with three matched to go, lose this one and New Zealand win the series.

To be honest England have not just lost the previous two matches, they have been thrashed.

I hope for the sake of the coming test series, and the remainder of this one day series that England get their act together, then we can all have some evenly contested cricket.

Apparently it's been raining in Auckland on and off all morning. Good news is I hear its fine now though I don't know what the forecast is like, hopefully its good as heading up to the big smoke for the game shortly. Eden Park drains pretty quick so I don't think play will be delayed.

England are expected to make several changes for this game while New Zealand should be riding high. Perhaps England shoudl look to bowl first and see how the Kiwi's swashbuckling batting stlye goes when setting a target not chasing a meager one.

Although it seems the best way to break a dryspell in New Zealand is to schedule a cricket match. There was a bout 5mms of rain in January and once the England series starts it rains frequently.

Well here we go again.

England won the toss and will bowl first. Two changes, Mascarenhas in for Bopara and Wright in for Swann! They're loading themself up with batting to chase down whatever the Kiwis set, I don't like the idea of them going in without a spinner though.

Looks like a last throw of the dice from Moores to be honest.

Should be interesting to see how the Kiwis get on batting first and setting a score and more importantly for me just how Ryder gets on with a little pressure on him, I'm betting not very well.

Yeah, that surprised me too. I think you've always got to play a spinner.

But the selection which really surprised me was New Zealand bringing in Hitchcock for Michael Mason. I thought Mason bowled brilliantly on Tuesday.

I think Mason picked up an injury. Frankly, I'd rather play with ten players than Hitchcock though. Should have played Iain O'Brien in my opinion, or Jeets.

Well McCullums gone - quite rightly, he was being far too aggressive, batting about 2 feet out of his crease and advancing down the wicket at Anderson who simply fired in a shorter ball that followed him and all he could do was glove to Cook in the slips.

Anderson a different bowler not under pressure for a change.

Good start for England.

Andersons bowling well for a change - it's good to see, as we all know what he's capable of, he's just a very frustrating bowler. Both batsmen have played and missed so far - he's bowling a very good line and length.

Ryders on borrowed time.

I think England have always been better bating second Scott - Anderson is to sharp to play out of the crease.

1-39 from 10 overs. A bit of pressure on New Zealand, but good to see that they're playing just sensible, low-risk cricket- the only stupid shot was by McCullum which got him out.
