| Fourth One Day International: New Zealand v England, Tuesday 19th February 2008. England tonight will show whether the win in the 3rd ODI was a flash in the pan, or a real improvement. New Zealand also are under some pressure after seeing their 2-0 lead reduce to just 2-1, so I imagine a tense game in prospect. For New Zealand a possible injury problem:Cricinfo - New Zealand wait on injured Ryder Quote:

And don't forget the match starts at 22:00 GMT, or 09:00 local time.

| That's already 2300 for me here in Prague, unfortunately, and with work tomorrow from 0800 that's too late for me. I'll get the result in the morning, I guess, which is as good as it gets for me at this time of year. Looking forward to the summer again!

| I forgot about the hour different in Europe. In summer I get a different problem - in Spain in 2005 I missed the test at Lords. Last year being they had free Wi Fi at our appartments, I took my laptop to listen to the cricket online, only to find you can't listen to the BBC online in Spain, and probably the rest of Europe - was not pleased at all.

| Hmmmm it's a day game, I forgot it was in Napier. Guess I'll be stuck at work for the bulk of the match. I wonder if the change of start time will make any difference, isn't batting at night meant to be harder? Although the chasing sides won every match so far so who knows. Napiers a pretty small ground (even by Kiwi standards) and the blackcaps tend to do well there. Last edited by sittingduck : 19-02-2008 at 09:30 PM. |

| I think England bat better in days games - this time is better for us in the UK, as it will finish about 6AM GMT.

| Teams have been named NZ is Ryder, McCullum, How, Taylor, Styris, Fulton, Oram, Vettori, Mills, O'Brien, Martin. So Ryders back to fitness and O'Brien is in for the woeful Paul Hitchcock. England have named Cook, Mustard, Bell, Pieterson, Collingwood, Shah, Mascarenhas, Wright, Broad, Sidebottom, Anderson. I think that's the same team as game three but I might be wrong. ![]() |

| Vettori won the toss and chose to bowl. |

| No surprises there eh, NZ only seem to be able to beat England when they chase, although that may be being a little unfair. This should be a good test for how far England have improved their game as they need to start winning games when setting a score and not just when they chase. As I speak McCullum drops a regulation edge off Cook! Tsk Tsk! Sign of things to come? I'd like to see England win this game setting a score and defending it - and I reckon they're going to need at least 270+ on this pitch to stand a chance, balls coming on nicely with nice bounce and short boundaries. |
