Dohni $USD 1.5 million IPL

Dohni to Chenai for $1.5 million USD Murali going to same club
Gilly $700 thousand USD to ?
Warne $430 thousand to ?

Mike Hussey's little brother Darren just scored 113 runs off 64 balls for Victoria against NSW in a 50 over match today in Australia at the SCG. He is listed in the IPL as is Mike (did his auction cause no harm plus he bowls)

As is Cameron White who is probably the second biggest hitter of the ball in Australia (bigger than Symonds & Darren Hussey but behind Vic team-mate opener Aiden Blizzard)

Not sure if Brad Hodge is in it but he scored a chirpy century today for the Vic's also, and like Darren Hussey has dominated the 20/20 format down under.

That's David Hussey, Acker.

Apparently Mike Hussey, Md. Yousuf and Glenn McGrath haven't found franchises yet, and are in the reserve pool. But there are an awful lot of auctioned players for only eight sides, so I wonder if all of them are guaranteed to get picked?

Symonds got picked up for $1.35m, whereas Warnie only got a relatively paltry $400k, which is a relief. Even with the Advanced Hair Studios treatments, I sometimes wonder if there's enough hair for his head.

David/Darren ....D.Hussey or maybe it will become M.Hussey who is the less famous brother of him.

Are the Indian players schedules compatible to the full length of the tournament "Aurelius" because from what I gather the Australian international's are only available for 44 days. Maybe that is the length of the tournament. If it is not I raise an eyebrow at $1.35 mill for Symonds ?

My sleeper is Cameron White, just off an ankle injury he should be cherry ripe in October. He is a huge hitter and does not need pace on the ball to launch them.

I think the whole tournament takes the 44 days- otherwise you're right, that'd be a huge waste of money. But the international schedule might be why players like Hayden and Ponting are only picking up relatively minor bids.

CricInfo also has a progressive blog with the latest news, so I'm going to be keeping an eye on that.

I think Dohni is rightly the top priced player, I actualy think he is cheap at $1.5 million.

Indian
Mid-twenties long prospective career.
Likely captain of India in all forms of the game including tests.

Is Ishant Sharma in this ?
If he is he might be another skyrocket.
19yo looks like him and India will be joined at the hip for the next 15 years or so.

Bridesmaids (no bid) and single bids (reserve only) to date

From the hindustan times

[QUOTE]
3:45 pm : Out of the 37 players that went under the hammer, four of them went unsold and were kept in the reserve pool. These include retired Australian fast bowling great Glenn McGrath, countryman Michael Hussey, Pakistan's Mohammad Yousuf and Zimbabwe wicket-keeper Tatenda Taibu.
Of the 33 players that were bought till date, only three were purchased for their same base price. New Zealand's Stephen Fleming did not fetch more than his starting price of USD 3,50,000 and was purchased by Chennai's India Cements Ltd. The Pakistan duo of Younis Khan (USD 2,25,000) and Kamran Akmal (USD 1,50,000) did not have any competition nor get higher bid and were both bought by Jaipur's Emerging Media.

acker... ishant sharma not in it right now....can u believe roy symonds was picked up for $1.35mill by my hometown hyderabad, also hyderabad lapped up gilly, gibbs and afridi. the way things r going sreesanth was paid more than ponting, dinesh karthik more than kumble....absolute mayhem with no1 able to predict who will go for what amount. u know what acker there is a cap of $5mil fixed for each team by BCCI, so to for chennai to spend 1/3rd of their money on dhoni is craziness. and remember these salaries are a for a year and the same money will be paid for the next 3 years
