| Younis as a batsman . .
Apart from w/k skills (or lack thereof!), I remain unconvinved of YK as a batsman... is he good enough..or isn't he? Should he be the regular no.6 in ODIs and Tests? or be replaced by the likes of Salman Butt and Yasir Hameed in ODIs and Asim Kamal in Tests?
It seems even the coach is not sure... (BW's website):
"I will not get into the argument / debate re Younis Khan as there are probably many other factors involved. What I do know is that he is very good for the team."
So it seems the guy is in the team mainly 'cos he has a great attitude and is good for the morale...? hmmmm...
I am not saying he definitely should not play... if he bats regularly like he did in Peshawar the other day (and against proper opposition), he deserves a spot..but not otherwise! |
