What I meant was that this is our lot of players and out of this lot we'll surely drop at least 1 if not more and now, right now, none of these can be sure if they won't be that one who will be dropped. You actually get my point though when you point out that none of these have yet permenently cemented a place in the side.

In that his role is similar to the one performed by Flintoff for England. Razzy's downfall is being too predictable - if he develops controlled outswinger to go with his normal in-swinging deliveries, he will become a much more effective proposition.Sami is the one who desperately needs to perform and sharpen up his act, otherwise the selectors should look to blood some youngsters in the India tour. |
First lets define a strike bowler - for me its not one who will fetch you 5 wickets per test match or whom you can expect to do but one whom you can throw the ball at when you are in a desperate need of a wicket - NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A STRIKE BOWLER. In one word a stike bowler is a 'partnership breaker'. Flintoff is one, and Razzaq has not convinved every that he is, the Australian tour like every test match Razzaq will play will give him another chance to prove that he is. I do beleive Razzaq is more than a stock bowler (he's been turned into one), Razzaq started his career as a bowler principally you might want to recall Yasser. But he has to prove all that again. I actually beleive he was a much more effective bowler before he fructured his rist thanks to a Brett Lee bouncer he faced in Sharjah. I have stopped trying to convince people about Sami, I just maintain he has under performed, but I persist that he is a potentially world class bowler that just needs time and experience to get his act together and I'm willing to give him that.
