In my opinion he is one of the best players Pakistan has produced, master of reverse swing and not a very handy batsman, he was not a bad captain either, it was just his bad luck that our team was so inconsistant back than.
I also think he should be brought in as a assistant coach to Bob and work with the bowlers.

Waqar's career is similar to Botham's.Both were outstanding cricketers who for a few years were as good as anybody else on the planet.Both had back problems.Both were picked for far too long by their countries solely on their reputation not what their performances merited.If both players had retired 5 years earlier through injury and not struggled on they would have an even greater aura than they do now.
