The Game was telivised in Aus. Only thing I saw wrong was the 'bat hanging outside off-stump' problem again. Did'nt really watch Aus A bat though.

You are referring to the Pakistan batsmen I take it then? They can get away with it on Pakistani pitches, but it looks amateurish abroad. The only answer is get a core set of players together and try and coach better habits into them which is I think is the short to mid-term plan of Woolmer. I thought there were signs of improvement as the tests went on, and hopefully they will continue.

To be fair Rachael, I think the PCB has done a lot of work behind the scenes lately and in the face of a bunch of vipers raising their heads every time there is a set back, it takes broad shoulders to be able to steer a steady course. The PCB hasn't done a bad job so far in offering Woolmer full support, I just hope they can hold their nerve. You wouldn't believe the pressure they come under when things are not going 100% according to the script.

Pakistan absolutely hammered in the Twent20 match against Australia limping to 70 odd for 7 wickets in reply to Aus A's 186. Strange team selection once again, with Taufeeq Umar, a test specialist being asked to play in a knockabout game. His game suffered through trying to up the tempo for ODI matches, I don't think this will have done him any good at all.

The result is not great but I'm not too concerned. I don't think too many of our players have played this format before and with an experimental team anything could have been expected.

Pak scored 129/7 in 20 overs, so lost by 56 runs. Result irrelevant, but strange to select Taufiq as you say.

Inzy batting at 6??!!

It was only a 20/20 game so you can,t draw too many conclusions from that game. The 50 over game will be a different story. One concern i had was Inzy batting at 6. He is their best batsman and should be up the top. It indicates a lack of confidence and that must be a concern for Pakistan

Taufeeq actually made 31 off 20 balls which was one of the better efforts. Younis Khan came in to bat at no 9 so definitely an experimental line up.
