I don't think the umpires were Aussies, but it's getting beyond a joke now.

p.s. what impact will this have on Hafeez bowling for the rest of this series then? Is he ok for now assuming that the ICC will have to meet to decide further action?

From what I understand, after an umpire reports a player formally, he is okay to bowl in the period (six weeks I believe) that his action is being investigated, so Hafeez can continue to bowl for the time being.

Excellent news. By that time, Shoaib Malik's action will inevitably have been cleared so we won't really need him in any case. It strikes me as unusual though that neither his coach Bob Woolmer or the tv commentators pick up these suspect bowling actions. The margin of error must be so small as to be described as piddlingly insignificant.

Anyway, back to the match, another plus point from pakistan's perspective is thaat over the last 12 months we have become very professional at chasing down big scores. This was a big weakness in the past, but the approach couldn't be more clinical these days. It's no longer an issue which is progress (not that it's likely to be recognised by Pakistani journalists but we can live in hope).

Are they investigating Hafeez's batting as well?

Umpires are fitted with a special eyepiece that acts as a special 'laser protractor' that can accurately measure the degrees of bend in asians to 7 decimal points.

On the table of points it has aussys with 11, pakistan with 6 and windies with 0. can someone please explain how that works? aussys have won one match with and 1 without the bonus point. that is 5 plus 6 wich is 11 of course. then there is pakistan who have lost one but managed to retain a bonus point, then they won one, but didnt win the bonus point. so 5 plus 1 is 6.

but what about windies??? they retained the bonus point against pakistan today because it took pakistan 47 overs..... so why dont windies get the point?

I don't know why West Indies haven't got the one point , they should be getting it, that for sure.

Mohamad Hafeez getting reported for having a suspect action is disapointing news, I don't think he has changed his action from what it was two seasons ago when he first played for us, he was not reported back then, so we all can only wonder why all of a sudden they have found a problem with it.

as i said, it is because 2 years ago the umpires didnt have the 'asian laser protractor' fitted into their eyes to measure degrees of bend to 7 decimal points. now they do, hence hafeez has been reported.
