I think the leading run scorers and wicket takers will be Inzi and Kaneria respectivley, or at least I'm hoping so...

And to admit it, I was surprised as well the warm up game was scheduled for Dharamshala, its a beautiful place up there, really picturesque, but I read at cricket info that its only stopped snowing there last week, and locals were wondering if it was going to be a "warm up" or a "Freeze down" game

More on that game, our coach, Bob Woolmer has described the wicket we are scheduled to play on as a "ganja" or "completely bald" surface. One would think though, that in that kind of weather, and at such high altitude, conditions would generally be more conducive to seam bowling. Hopefully if the rain can keep out for long enough, we'll be able to spend some time out in the middle and get a feel of things.

PS: Happy birthday to Inzamam, our skippers turns 35 today. May he have many, many more!

PPS: Happy belated birthday to Shahid Afridi, "mr popularity" turned (just) 25 this Labour day. I'm sure he must have had a fantastic day

leading runscorer for india -- virender sehwag
leading runscorer for pak -- yasir hameed
leading wicket-taker for india -- irfan pathan
leading wicket taker for pak -- arshad khan, danish kaneria

Sadly, worldcall are not tuning doordarshan sports..and why the heck isn't ptv or ten sports showing
the three dayer? i distinctly remember that ten sports showed india's warmup game against pakistan A
in which imran nazir bashed the indian bowlers all round the park.

What a breath taking back drop that, absolutely stunning. Unfortunately our batting on day one wasn't quite as beautiful. We finished on 165-5 on day 1 of 3 at Dharamshala, only 45 overs were possible as some play was lost to rain. Asim Kamal is so far the top scorer with 43 not out, Inzamam and Taufeeq Umar both made starts and got out in their 30s. Yousuf Youhanna only mustered 18, and Younis Khan a two ball duck. Salman Butt got run out for 21 after he and Umar had added a half century stand for the opening wicket. Abdul Razzaq is not out on 7.

Hopefully we'll get more play tomorrow, and hopefully, Razzaq and Asim Kamal can settle down and play a long innings. We just need to spend time at the crease, that's all.
