Your point is equally well made. The low attendences for test cricket in Pakistan really are regretful, and I badly wish the situation could have been otherwise. Although as always, I live in hope, that with Pakistan's performance gradually starting to improve, some day, hopefully in the not so distance future we will see full houses on all five days.

On the flip side, any form of cricket which can attract crowds of 40,000 can't really be criticised. People who aren't into the game often complain that the matches go on too long, and Twenty20 is very spectator friendly in that it's more like other sports wrt time frame. These days not everyone can take out 5 days to watch test cricket, but something that is over in a few hours is a lot more accessible. That's why it's even more admirable that countries like England, India and Australia are still getting good crowds at test matches.
