The Quaid-e-Azam trophy is now underway, infact yesterday was the second day of the matches. The scorecards can be seen at: http://www.pcboard.com.pk/Pakistan/E...y_2005-06.html

At a quick glance, as most of the big names were playing in the 'Pakistan Vs Karachi' warm up matche, only Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan and Yasir Hameed represented their regional sides. Yasir again failed scoring 17 but Rana continues to shine, taking 5 wickets already.

Pakistan-Quaid-e-Azam

The tournament is well structured this year and has started off well and some national team players are playing which is a good sign. I am excited because this year seems to get better and better for Pakistan. Although i believe the teams from the QEA and Patrons Trophy should be integrated into one tournament with the corporations (such as Habib Bank Ltd., Bank Alfallah, and PIA etc) sponsering teams that are named for cities, such as Lahore and Abbottabad and Karachi. That would make the tournament even more meaningful for the players and the fans, because a healthy rivalry will exist to be on top. and Both sides would be happy. Bar that i'm happy for Pakistan Domestic Cricket or National Cricket Pakistan as its called now.

I'm rooting for Lahore in the QEA, and they have already one the first match.
