P.S. Yousuf is a a muslim name.
Yousuf is both a christian and a muslim name, I thought only christian but I believe that when it is used as Yusuf it is muslim, but Yousuf it is christian. Thanks for the clarification Captain

I think its his personal business, and that's where it ends. I can understand his mother's reaction and wouldn't be surprised if the two of them have a strained relationship from here on in. Being a Christian myself, I'd obviously have preferred him to stay that way, but as I said, his business is his business. I still get the feeling though as if Yousuf is taking a "it's a big load off my shoulders" stance.

I don't think he could've been such a great role model for Christianity, as he has now completely turned on it; and of course, it then becomes a "sin" in the Christian way. Either he was disillusioned with Christianity or forced into Islam. I wouldn't know why he'd feel the need to change if he was an ambassador for Christianity.

As for his mothers' reaction again, of course it is fair enough. She's brought the kid up to be a devout Christian, and something he was proud to be. I'd probably blame Saeed Anwar to; religion has played an important part in the Youhana family's life and it'd reduce his mum to tears to see her son turn on the faith he was brought up in.

thats the only reason i trust cricinfo over the others, they have correspondents and publish what they know not rumors.

Also i think enough has been made on this subject and we should leave it now, one question remains and only this one, and M.Yousuf is the only one who will answer itand thats on the field. he said he was now more 'relaxed', will it mean he will be more of a clamer batsman and change things to consistently make big scores? or not? and for this we must wait and see.

Sorry about the strangely late reply, but Zainub, don't take my words out of context please. I'm saying that as if I were Youhana's mum as they are devout Christians. Personally I don't blame Anwar at all...I'm just saying his mum is feeling this way justifiably.
