Incredible Victory

Pakistan set an incredible victory against england because at this time england is the world best team and pakistani bowlers prove themselves as the best and this could be the one of the best performance of pakistan.

best luck pakistan for upcoming tests.

Yes, one of our best victories I have to say. Although Bangalore last year, and the Kolcutta victory under Wasim was pretty special too.

Let's hope this isn't a one off, and we make this victory count and win the series too.

I just noticed (with some surprise) in Jonathan Agnew's column on the BBC website that, if England are to win this series, they will have to double their previous total of test victories in Pakistan. Yes: to date, England have recorded only two victories in Pakistan.

Agnew's column here.

I knew that. Another thing. Last time England won the Ashes before this year, straight after that they lost to Pakistan both home and away within the next six months.

We travel to England next summer.

Very early days, but I wonder if history will repeat it self...

No Zainub because the pitches will be made to nullify Kaneria next summer.Or they should be anyway.

But as you came to know today, we seem to have a decent fast bowling attack, and our batsmen tend to fight it out too, so I'd at least give our selves a chance. And Kaneria does have an excellent record playing in England for Essex -on what are widely talked up as 'spin-nulified pitches'. Too early to be speculating obviously, lot could happen between then and now...

I might be tempted to start a really early pre series thread on that tour, once this series is out of the way.

Would this count as the best comeback in a match for Pakistan or has there been a better one?

Yes it was a special victory for Pakistan, and I was listening when it was all happening, Sami can take his fair share of the credit, for unsettling the England batsmen with his pacy yorkers.

There was this one occasion where NZ had to chase 123 in the final innings and Wasim and Waqar helped us bowl them out for 97, I didn't see it, but that must have been pretty special.

Banglore was fantastic - unlike in Multan no one gave us a chance of victory - it was so , so great to prove everyone wrong. Fantastic.

I am assumming that these will be the same pitches that where prepared to nulify Warnies leg spin?

A bowler like Kaneria will always take wickets, no matter how much the pitch may be tampered.
